Make Warmness

"Make Warmness", a series which focuses on all that is visceral, loving, warm, primal, and other worldly. It is an attempt to describe humanity at it's 'best,' what ever that is, documenting the soul, or essence of our presence in the universe. Everything is relative, everything is rhythmic...

I guess this is just an idea for a solo show I'd like to have some day... It would be a blend of illustration and photography, possibly even some installation... Maybe coffee would be served. Maybe I could be there wrapped in a giant quilt, on a feather bed, sipping the coffee, eating a scone, with a painted face and a sketch book to keep me occupied... It's just a dream I had.

Past Life

"Past Life," Ink & Colored Pencil on Paper, 10x13

Experiencing deja vu multiple times a day, remembering what is yet to happen?
...Recalling upon who you were supposed to be, who you remain to be, who, or what, you dream to be...

Clever and Cozy

Here's a photo of my table during the Clever Crafter holiday art fair...
It was a fun day. I ended up eating tons of tasty Christmas snacks and drinking probably too much coffee,
but I'm not at all complaining. And the illustration is something I created for the online zine and art blog Forth Thread. They have an illustrated advent calendar on their website and I drew day 22!

Intuitive Judy

Poor little Judy, the lazy eyed beauty.
She's been trying for so long to figure out how many balls of hair
are floating in front of her....
I guess her intuition is not entirely what it once was...
Pity.

Be Your Own God

While entertaining the idea of our universe being one,
which I happen to believe is true,
I came upon an intriguing query,
asking myself 'if the universe
really is one, how are we all not god?'
With this illustration, my intentions are hardly narcissistic,
and in fact quite humanist,
representing my love for others,
human or not,
living or not,
maybe just a concept,
maybe a song,
maybe a pattern,
anything that is love,
all that is eternal...
Everything.

So, why put faith in anything besides yourself?
It only degrades the human race...

Patterns, Textures, & Shapes....

I've done a couple of fashion illustrations for some different companies...
The first drawing shown is forMary Benson's Fall/Winter collection and the second drawing is for the Australian lingerie company Hopeless Hotel and it's supposed to be used in an issue of Pocketto Zine.

And for fun, I made some simple repeat patterns which I will hopefully print on fabric in the future... The last image is just a silly photo of myself pretending to be all mysterious as I wear a soft, warm quilt.... weeird.
